Harakat Hezbollah al-Nujaba
The Harakat Hezbollah al-Nujaba (HHN) ((アラビア語:حركة حزب الله النجباء), "Movement of the Party of God's Nobles") is an Iraqi Shi'ite paramilitary organisation which was formed with Iranian assistance (specifically the Quds force). HHN emerged from Iranian-controlled Sadrist splinter group Asaib Ahl al-Haq (AAH) in 2013 and is led by that group's co-founder, Sheikh Akram Kaabi. The militia was an early provider of fighters to Syria and one of the first Iraqi Shi'ite forces to announce its involvement in battles in the Aleppo area. Initially, HHN had three sub-militias operating in Syria, but these units have received less attention of late.〔(Understanding the Organizations Deployed to Syria )〕
Demonstrating the interconnected nature of Iraqi militias, both groups posted images of Kata'ib Imam Ali secretary-general Shebl al-Zaidi and HHN's Kaabi going over maps and targets in late July. The connection was further emphasized following the September 19 death of HHN's Aleppo commander Alaa al-Musawi—both groups commemorated him as a "martyr" who had fallen during the "defence of sacred sites" in Syria.〔(Iran-backed Iraqi militias are pouring into Syria )〕
They have had an increasing role in Syria after a significant boost to recruitment efforts took place earlier in 2015.
